Learning Environments
The Entrance Preschool
since 1969
Our Service is made up of two indoor learning spaces and three outdoor learning environments.
Our children are grouped within two rooms
The Seahorse Room and the Starfish Room. We have a maximum of 39 children per day with both classrooms having a mix of 3-5 year olds.
Outdoor learning spaces
Our three outdoor learning spaces include an Aboriginal garden with native plants and bush tucker, garden beds, fire pit and a yarning space. Our larger playground has a sandpit, fixed climbing equipment to encourage risky play and challenge children’s gross motor skills as well as a nature path, veggie path and worm farm. Our small playground has a cubby house, monkey bars, obstacle courses and a swing.
Our local Environment
Every week we explore our local community and walk down to the lake, park and jetties. We use our local environment to teach children about nature, community, responsibility and sense of self identity.
